Due to the recent surge in gold prices, SMA connectors that use gold plating are also experiencing a tendency for price increases. Therefore, we have reduced the thickness of the gold plating on the center contact to 0.08μm and changed the body plating to nickel. Even though the gold plating on the center contact is thinner, the underlying nickel plating is sufficiently applied at 2μm, ensuring that the mating cycles are guaranteed to be the usual 500 cycles.
